Goodread's Summary: "Becca Hanson was never able to make sense of the real world. When her best friend Charlotte died, she gave up on it altogether. Fortunately, Becca can count on her books to escape—to other times, other places, other people...

Until she meets Max Herrera. He’s experienced loss, too, and his gorgeous, dark eyes see Becca the way no one else in school can.

As it turns out, kissing is a lot better in real life than on a page. But love and life are a lot more complicated in the real world...and happy endings aren't always guaranteed.

The companion novel to Love and Other Unknown Variables is an exploration of loss and regret, of kissing and love, and most importantly, a celebration of hope and discovering a life worth living again."

  1. This is pretty obvious, but its literally the perfect summer read light and fluffy. Despite the fact that one of the main character's is thrown into this world because one of her best friends death. I think it really shows how to cope with something like this. I also love how Becca is a reader too, so I think she would agree with me when I say this is a great summer read.
  2. I feel this book is really showing how people can grow and blossom. Becca really showed this growth throughout the book. Being the shy person is really hard and sometimes people need an extra push to come out of there shell.
  3. Not only did it show growth it really was also a serious read. Becca lost her best friend and she really wasn't the same the person afterwards. Best friends become part of us and losing Charlotte she lost herself. I know a lot of people would feel the same way if they lost their best friend.
  4. It shows that despite things being hard you have to keep going and trying. If Becca didn't try to do things she wouldn't have gotten closer to Max. There's always going to be a light at the end of the tunnel.
  5. Max was such sweetheart, he was the image for the perfect boyfriend. He never pushed her, he was supportive. All of the characters in the book were really great and none of them did I despise.

I'm not really sure where I was going with this, but I did enjoy doing this sort of post instead of a plain ole review. This easily a four star read and there was so much more to be discussed about this book. I loved this book so much and I can't wait to see what else the author has in store for us readers. Remember keep looking for your Once Upon A Time.
